The new standard for paraeducators.
The ParaPathways Assessment (test code 5757) is ETS's modern replacement for the older ParaPro test. It measures the real skills paraprofessionals use in today's classrooms, and it meets the Title I requirements districts hire against.
Instead of one test, the ParaPathways is built from two subtests: Reading & Writing (5758) and Mathematics (5759). The focus isn't trivia. It's applying classroom-support skills the way a para actually uses them.
It's phasing in now and fully replaces the ParaPro by late 2026, so if you're starting your para journey, the ParaPathways is the exam to prepare for.

Reading & Writing
Comprehending informational and classroom-relevant texts, identifying main idea and author intent, language usage, and written communication.
Mathematics
Basic operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, and data analysis, framed around real classroom support.
